Christmas Crumbs Cake

The holidays are here! A great time to make a savory and flavorful cake. Christmas cake is a wonderful way to celebrate the season. Soft, moist, and a flavorful blend of Christmas flavors make an ideal dessert to share this season with family and friends.

Christmas Cake

During the holiday season, Christmas cakes are delicious desserts that are made and enjoyed. Traditional Christmas cake is often a fruitcake. The cake is often made with a variety of dried fruits, covered with frosting, and decorated with Christmas-theme decor. Nowadays there are numerous types of Christmas cake recipes. During the holiday seasons, being creative and feeling inspired comes naturally for a lot of people. There is something special about the cool weather, holiday meals, and decorations that bring out the inspiration to create an appetizing dessert cake during the holidays.

Creating a Christmas cake recipe does not have to be hard, though there are cakes that can be hard to recreate. Christmas cakes can be made as one layer, the classic three layers, or can be made with as many layers as one desires. Other designs for cakes include bundt, log, or roll-shaped Christmas cakes. Different Christmas designs and frosting colors can be used for cakes. The ideas for Christmas cakes are numerous, and the holiday season is a great time to create a decorative, showstopping holiday cake or a simple one-layer cake with Christmas sprinkles.

Christmas Crumbs Cake

For this year, I wanted a different type of cake that did not look like many other neat Christmas cakes. I was going for more of a messy style cake look. The crumbs make the cake look uneven and uniquely different. This cake is a blend of white and red velvet cake mix. The crumbs were made from the cakes with a food processor and then coated unevenly onto the cake.

Cake Slice

It is a good idea to dip the knife used for cutting the cake in water. This helps the knife to glide easily through the cake. Nice and even cake slices are often cut from knives dipped in water. Many people used hot water. I generally just dip the knife in lukewarm water, and this helps to get a nice cake slice too.

Storage

Once the cake is cool, it can be stored in the refrigerator. Storage containers, aluminum foil, and plastic wraps are a few ways to store a cool cake in the refrigerator. For long-term cake storage, the cake can be placed in the freezer. The cake can be stored in freezer Ziploc bags or wrapped in aluminum foil.

Thoughts

This cake was a delicious Christmas dessert cake. It was soft and flavorful. My goal for this year's Christmas cake was to create a unique cake style with a messy Christmas design. The great thing about cakes is that there are so many styles and designs. Anyone can create their own cake style and be able to share it with the world online. I think it's okay not to create a flawless-looking cake but more of a unique and different cake that can be set apart from the seas of cakes.
