Penne Pasta with Grape Tomatoes & Basil

Pasta: penne pasta
Tomato: grape tomatoes; alternative cherry tomatoes
Garlic: fresh, peeled garlic
Cooking oil: olive oil; alternative sunflower oil
Butter: unsalted butter
Seasoning: Italian seasoning
Salt: plain salt
Pepper: ground black pepper
Herbs: fresh basil leaves; alternatives Greek oregano or mint

Instructions Details

Tomato sauce

  1. Add the butter and garlic to a pan.
  2. Add the grape tomatoe halves and olive oil.
  3. Add seasoning.
  4. Sauté.

Penne Pasta

  1. Cook the penne pasta, then drain.
  2. Add the tomato sauce.
  3. Add the fresh basil leaves.



Ingredients

  • 1 pound penne pasta
  • ½ gallon water
  • 5 cups grape tomatoes
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 5 tablespoon butter or ½ butter stick
  • ¼ teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • salt to taste
  • 5 basil leaves

Instructions

Penne pasta. Add ½ gallon of water to the pot and add salt. Add the penne pasta. Cook the pasta. Then drain the penne pasta once it is cooked.

Cut ingredients. Cut the garlic into small pieces. Cut the grape tomatoes in half.

Tomato sauce. In a skillet, melt the butter, and then add the garlic. Add the olive oil and grape tomatoes. Then add the Italian seasoning. Sauté for about 10 minutes.

Penne pasta and tomato sauce. Add the tomato sauce and basil to the penne pasta. Mix and fully combine all the ingredients.
