Dinner Table: Salmon, Vegetables, & Cake

Salmon dinner is a delicious option for a tasty dinner meal. It is a light, healthy, and very appetizing dish. With many salmon dishes, the sides are generally vegetable side dishes. Vegetables pair well with salmon. Asparagus is a popular vegetable side dish with salmon. Salad is also a great side dish. The combination of fresh salmon and fresh green leaves is a delightful and healthy meal. Other common side dishes in the United States include broccoli and potatoes that pair nicely with main course dishes. Desserts are commonly a great end to a meal and are a very popular American dessert option. 

Pineapple Juice

Fresh pineapple juice is a nice drink option for a lunch or dinner meal. It is a light and healthy drink compared to many sugary drinks sold in supermarkets today. In addition, it is a nice alternative to water or iced tea drinks that are commonly drink choices for a meal. This juice is made with fresh pineapple, water, and a little bit of sugar. Frozen pineapple is a great alternative to fresh pineapple if unavailable. Sugar is optional; this sweetens the pineapple juice slightly. Fresh pineapple is a delicious drink that I enjoy through the season since pineapple is a fruit that is generally available year-round in the states. 

Leafy Green Salad

Salad is an excellent side dish that pairs well with many dishes, including salmon. The combination of a leafy green salad and salmon is a great light dinner option. Generally, salads are considered healthy dishes minus the many ingredients and salad dressing added. This salad was kept very simple with no added ingredients or dressing. The leafy green salad includes boiled eggs, tomatoes, and orange bell pepper. The plain leafy salad with fresh veggie ingredients was a good salad. 

Salmon & Asparagus 

Salmon is one of the most popular fish options worldwide, including the United States. Salmon is a delicious and healthy fish option that can be prepared in various ways. The fish can be pan-fried, grilled, or broiled. Asparagus is a classic side dish that is often paired with salmon. The combination of salmon and asparagus makes a delightful and light meal. 

Many restaurants offer salmon and asparagus dishes, but this tasty dish can be made in the comfort of one's home. For this main dish, the salmon was oven-baked with butter and with pieces of fresh lemon. The asparagus were boiled, then olive oil was added and seasoned with salt and pepper. The salmon and asparagus is a classic light meal that is always a great way to enjoy a dinner dish at home. 

Broccoli

Broccoli is a tasty and popular vegetable choice in the United States. In addition, broccoli makes a great vegetable side dish. Broccoli is a versatile vegetable that can be eaten raw or can be cooked in different ways. Steaming, sautéing, and roasting are a few methods for cooking broccoli. For this dinner, the broccoli was boiled with a pinch of salt. The boiled broccoli was soft with a nice mild flavor that makes a great side dish. 

Boiled Garlic Butter Baby Potatoes

Potatoes are also another popular side dish in the United States. There are a few methods to cooking potatoes, including oven-baked, pan-fried, or deep-fried. For this dinner potato side dish, the baby potatoes were boiled. These are a combination of red and yellow baby potatoes, boiled, then combined with a simple homemade butter sauce. These small potatoes are an ideal side dish for salmon. The combination of green veggies, baby potatoes, and fresh salmon is a savory combo.

Guava White Yellow Cake 

Cake is a classic sweet dessert and a very popular treat in the United States. Cake is an ideal dessert after a dinner meal. A moderate-sized cake portion is fine every once in a while. The cake's sugar content is not ideal for everyday consumption. 

The guava white yellow cake is a combination of white and yellow cake mix with guava, then topped with a fresh cream cheese frosting. This is a creamy, soft, and savory cake. After a light salmon meal with veggies and salad, this cake was an excellent dessert to end the meal. This cake was not very sweet, like many cakes sold in the market today.
