The corn tortillas are usually smaller than flour. Therefore, in this recipe, flour tortillas were used. The key ingredients for this recipe are the cod fish and the tortillas. These flour tortillas were deep-fried, which provides a nice crisp texture to the tostada. Add any choice of toppings to the tostada, such as lettuce or shredded cheese. These tostadas are crispy and full of flavor.
Ingredients
Flour tortillas
Cod fish
1 cup of pinto beans
1 plum tomato
¾ onion
3 cloves of garlic
2 tablespoons of olive oil
1 cup of vegetable oil
Toppings
Lettuce
Shredded or small pieces of cheese.
Instructions
Soak the beans overnight.
Mash the beans.
Cut cod fish, tomato and onion.
Cook the tomato, onion and cod fish on the stove top.
Deep fry tortillas in vegetable oil.
Spread the mashed beans on the tortillas, then add the cooked ingredients from the stovetop.
Add the toppings, lettuce and cheese if desired.
