Whole Berry Cranberry Sauce

Delicious side dish for the holiday season. Cranberry sauce is a very popular side dish served up during the holidays. This is a simple and classic homemade sauce to make for Thanksgiving or Christmas meal. A very tasty sauce to serve as a side dish or even as a condiment.




Cranberry sauce is a sauce made from fresh cranberries. The cranberries are cooked with other ingredients on stovetop. There are various variations of the cranberry sauce. The jellied, smooth, and whole berry cranberry sauce are cranberry sauce options.

For this recipe, the whole berry sauce was made. To make this sauce it only took a few ingredients. Combine fresh cranberries, orange juice and juice on the stovetop. A tasty and sweet side dish. 


Ingredients

cranberries

½ cup of granulated sugar

⅓ cup orange juice

½ teaspoon of lemon zest

1 teaspoon of orange zest


Instructions

Wash the cranberries.

Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan.

Cook 10-15 minutes on the stovetop until it forms a paste texture.

Serve in the desired bowl.
